About the Cycad Lady
When I first started to collect cycads the limitations due to my lack of knowledge and the assistance I needed, were frustrating. Everyone willing to help wanted to sell me something and “told me anything I wanted to hear” to make that sale. When I finally got to the point where I had the correct literature, books and got to the right web sites I almost spend so much money on getting information I could have bought a rare cycad. By that time, I’ve made expensive mistakes buying plants that I know now to be Hybrids, sub-specie crosses and locality or habitats that weren’t and probably will never be described. These plants hunt my collection. Thou they grow fast and add esthetic value to my collation I’m constantly reminded that they do not add monetary value. Let's share our love and experiences with these magnificent plants with one another.
